Got this for my dad that is wheelchair bound. Transitioning to the shower became dangerous. Home health delivered an aluminum chair that was not sturdy. This chair is sturdy, rolls easily and is comfortable for dad. My only thing would be to have all 4 wheels able to lock as this would make the chair NOT move at all while getting in and out. It does require someone to hold it steady for safety. It is a good quality chair for the price and made in the USA! Shipping was quick and arrived packaged adequately and minimal assembly required.Idea is great, but had to had to have it cut down and needed it to incline too. My mom is a small elderly lady and it was a bit too wide as well. A better model would be adjustable for height, width and preferably a mechanism to provide an incline (imagine incline provided in infant bathing tub, but with design in mind for adults). This would make bathing much safer and more comfortable for both loved ones and caretakers..There is abrasive mesh plastic over a large plastic bar at the top of the back rest. . Just a few uses before we noticed it rubbed my daughter's back raw and caused a dangerous abrasion. We have tried various methods of covering the mesh but cannot find something that works well--the bar presses into the neck anyway. . I suggest extreme caution about the abrasive material which presses against the patient's neck.needs adjustable legs.
