For those of you considering buying this for industrial LOTO purposes, they are perfectly suited for that and are a high quality option. They will meet all your OSHA requirements and will serve you for years, helping to keep your employees safe. For those of you interested in locksport, these are a SUPER option. Comparable to the the Master 410. These offer a couple advantages. First, they are commonly cheaper. Your mileage may vary, but I’ve found them a couple bucks cheaper for any given color. These cores are made by Abus as opposed to the American cores in the 410. The keyway actually spells out the word ABUS. Not really a paracentric keyway, and you should have no problem getting a pick in. You will probably want to use a pry bar with TOK tension. Like the 410, these cores are loaded with security pins. Bitting is generally excellent. One other advantage, the core is removable without breaking the sonic welds on the side of the case. A Phillips screw inside at the normal location allows you to drop the core.Obviously I can’t speak to every single lock, but you will usually find five of the driver pins are spools. Key pins are normally standard pins. I believe the 410 usually has a serrated pin in the mix. But of course the advantage of an easily removable core in the Brady is that you can re-pin with anything you want.Lastly, for those of you looking to secure your gate, a gym locker or your trailer, these are not the locks you’re looking for. Many other great options here on Amazon to provide high security against criminal activity. Yes, these have thin, plastic lock bodies. That’s a design feature because they are commonly used in proximity to high voltage and they do not need to resist brute force attacks that would befall a steel or brass body lock.
