It it impecably organized and provides a step by step introduction to TA. I have found it incredibly useful, and the exercises are great. Read it!This review is for an old edition (1980s); there is a newer one.I am interested in TA as an amateur (although I am considering training as a counsellor) - as such this book is probably more detailed than I need, at least for the moment. That said it is well written and easy enough to understand. But if you want to know if it is suitable for your Level 4 diploma, be aware I don't have the expertise to answer that question!Excellent tool for layman that lots of research shows to work. The mechanics of how and why people behave in certain ways, and advice on how to free oneself from these bonds. A must read for all people interested in self development, and creates a clear progression for later inner child work. Great book.It was described to me as the beginner’s bible to TA. I bought it and read it regularly even before I started on a TA training course. It gave me a lot to think about on my journey of self-discovery; so if you want to learn about Transactional Analysis start with this and/or counselling for Toads.It helps you understand the concept of why we are sometimes a parent, child or adult in our relationships with others.Quick and good for price
